28 Aug - Plain City

We drove to Plain City which is near Columbus to visit some friends of Jeff. On the way we stopped at Maccas for lunch and found Batman was on the Happy Meal roll. SO Batman was got.

It's about 2 hr drive and we got there around 1.30-2.00... First stop was to walk over to Der Dutchman which is an Amish bakery. I got a ginger sponge and a grape turnover for later. They are full of wonderful things, including multi colour popcorn (natural, different coloured corn kernals), Halloween candy, and rows of pickles including pickle eggs.

The giftshop was full of Americana, and also Ohio football mascot, the Buckeye. Candy buckeyes as well.

We went back to start the game but only cleared 2 rooms. (D&D) I was an elf thief.

Around 5pm we went to get ready to go to Easton, which is like a shopping village. I think it reminds me of Sanctuary Cove. There is a cinema there too, but we were there for The Funny Bone to see Brad Williams, http://www.columbusfunnybone.com/. Both he and the support act were very good and I had a great night. We finished the evening with a trip to The Cheesecake Factory http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/ and I tried the Key Lime cheesecake. Delicious.

Oh, we also stopped by something that may be a public sculpture. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9527 - why? I don't know. Hahhahah. Enjoy.
