20 August 2010 - travelling to USA

Wow... I kinda wish I was more anal at having all the info to hand. If I had, I probably wouldn't have encountered the various stuff I have today.

I forgot to eat all the pineapple I planned to finish off. I still have 6 eggs in the fridge. I nearly missed out on voting. Note to self... Voting is on the check in deck.. not the customs deck. I went through security twice because I had to go back to the voting both. I was in such a rush to get back (needless) that I only voted 1 above the line.

My plane was supposed to leave at 11am but we got on from 10.30am and sat there until 12.15pm. I arrived at LAX around 7.50am their time.

I haven't taken any photos. Not of the copious food on board nor of this airport. I am just so tired already. I watched How To Train your Dragon and I Love You Too, plus a great variety of serials. Why does the plane have no news channel?

This morning I got a lift to Eagle Junction station and have discovered that is soooo the way to go. It may have cost $15 but International is only 1 stop away.

Food... I have had coffee, juice, roast chicken, bun, banana cake, chocolate, muffin, fruit, weetbix, salad, salad sandwich with pickles... since when does a salad sandwich have pickles/gherkins? Odd. 3 meals. Pretty good. Only got up to stretch twice.

Now I wait at LAX until around 2pm for my next flight which goes to Chicago. Onwards from there to Cincinnati and arrival will be about 11pm Cincin time. I feel like I need 4 watches.

Bought a tmobile wifi one day pass unlimited 24 hr access for $8US.

And I gave away my aussie $20 note to 'save the children'.

They scanned all my fingers and took my photo. The guy in customs asked me twice what the "animal product" was that I marked. I said, "It's a bottle opener made from a kangaroo scrotum... just the skin bit."

One day I'll get some sleep.
