So here's a harbour. Today was overcast and misty so we couldn't see the tops of buildings. There are boats, and not only leisure boats but barges piled with sand. Boats boats boats. It is freezing cold and I wonder why there aren't more people here selling food. Maybe there is a ban. Eventually it turned night and all the buildings light up. The ships too turn on their lights. They are decked out with neon and LED like displays, animated, flashing.
We went to the People's Park too with recommendation from Sawada. She said on the weekend there is a meat market there.
Parents line up a few of the avenues of the park and put signs up with their offspring's credentials hoping to make a match. It's crowded and full of old people. It's quite amazing. The park itself is quite lovely and there is a small fairground there with those terrible show rides.
Last night in a dark street near our apt, there was someone letting off fireworks late. No particular reason.
There is a lot of "no particular reason" here.
We're moving to the French Concession tomorrow.
