Ikea today

We tried finding towels all yesterday and failed.

Today we are going to Ikea Shanghai because there are sure to be towels there that are decent quality and acceptable price. We did find towels in one dept store, but that was the wedding gift level and it was not quite what we were after.

I have attempted washing today also - all the buttons are in chinese. The dial had 1-2-3-a-b-c-d-e and I, II, III, IV on it... I selected 2 and hoped for the best...

The bed was not so good. My mid back feels really strained from the hard base and the high pillow. However, yesterday was Shanghai fashion and discovering a lot of places have an "outlet" upstairs (discount). I got 3 ankle socks for 30rmb in Baleno. A Levi's long sleeve top for 75rmb. It has some very steampunk hot air balloon wing ship on it with copper metallic thread. Picked up two silk embroidery pictures too in a "pearl market' type place. It was 160 and 120 (diff sizes) but I got both for 150. So there you go, I have shopped at the Bund. Ben has got a shirt from Giordano. Everything in these name brand shops is cheaper than in Australia, most likely because there is in freight costs included.
