China World Financial Centre

day before... took the Bund underpass train thing 45rmb to Pudong side. Hmmm, what an experience. It was kind of hilarious but "scenic" is not really a good descriptor as shown on the signs. You get to ride in a small 6 person cabin (they are single units) and then  there is about a 10 minute trip with video and light show on either side and voice over.

Over on the other side we went into CWFC and paid 150rmb to go up to level 100 for the observatory. Very futuristic feel, all ambient music and soft flashing lights, silver uniforms. You go up to level 95 then take an escalator up to 97 where you can see a covered walkway, over to the other side to take another lift to 100 where there is a partial glass walkway.. of course, I hated this!

The CWFC tower is shaped like a bottle opener, as there is a gap between level 97 and 100. In fact, you can buy a bottle opener shaped like the CWFC.

So it was a nice clear night and we could see lots of wonderful things, plenty of street lights. I took my binoculars up and made good use of them.
