Software

What the world needs is software where you can take a photo and it will OCR (recognise) any text in the picture and read it out and translate it for you. This would be excellent for shop signs, road signs, etc. Maybe even tattoos. Hahha.

And then you could click on to learn about any news or historical references.

eg: this is so and so famous mall. It is due for redevelopment in 2011.
or..
this is the so and so museum which was razed in 1812 and rebuilt in 1920 in this current location.
or...
this is King George Square and tomorrow at 3pm there will be free movies and sausage sizzle.

I guess it would incorporate GPS.

But mainly... I am a little frustrated that there are signs I want to understand and either there is no one I can ask or the language barier is stopping me.
